Auctioneer will open with a solo medley, then Mi Head Ur Head, Hair Rocket , then Aderbat. Also, in between sets we will be showing projections of the latest Hair Rocket ceromonies. we'd like to thank CIRCA SURVIVE for having us play two very moist shows with them friday at the unitarian church in philly, and saturday at crock rock in allentown. we couldn't have been happier to play both sold out shows to the crazed circa fans, some kids waiting outside since 11am for the eight O'clock doors. being from doylestown, we hadn't actually crossed paths personally but i'd like to add how cool these guys are. just another testament to the strange abundance of bucks county bands. also, a special thanks to colin for organizing. m.

Wednesday nites in a Train Car

inside a tiny train car on lorimer st. in williamsburg is where we will be every wed. nite at 11pm, all of august for free shows at PETES CANDY STORE. http://www.petescandystore.com/newmusic/newshows.html . you will be experiencing a different kind aderbat set containing three of the five usual members making a different sort of rattle. well, we've had a fine Bunch of shows in celebration of the new disc. thurs we had our johnny brendas cd show with philly's fine present natives:Lily Ruth Bussey(who will join us for a bunch of wednesday nite trio shows at PETES CANDY STORE a residency for the month of august) along with Bitter Bitter Weeks, and East Hundred. we actually pulled out oldies 'many ways', 'get out', 'star blew out', and 'last dead honeymoon' that nite. then fridays show was a successful experiment champagne and all with Push Me Pull You opening the night at d-towns promising art space. unfortunately , i missed the 3am polish funeral walk. but we'd like to thank everyone for the help putting that one together, hopefully there will be more to come... saturday was the exhausted and electrified city of baltimore at the Hexagon(now defunct lo fi social club). cool bunch of birds running that co op art/punk joint...i cant remember the other bands besides the electro keyboard duo from mass called The Cheaters Club. the pressure cooker of the south seems to start in that city. then finally, the annex on sunday with Fever Few. my first time catching her though i heard allot about her being a girl from bucks county. dark, and sultry. the club then drowned us with drinks long after we unplugged and left the building. the cool air of smoke, the desperation of the lower east side, and i dont what happened next

so, after cutting the chords of the various forms of communication (ie:this blog and everyone in between) due to world travel and post paid spiritual enlightenment, we're back. back for a number of cd release shows this week. the 24th JOHNNY BRENDAS -philadelphia , the 25 THE FACTORY-d-town, the 26th LO-FI SOCIAL CLUB-baltimore, and the 26th THE ANNEX-new york. if you are interested for more information about these shows please go to our myspace suite. we're going to try to throw some oldies into the sets--we're taking requests. the THE FACTORY show so you know, is located on the north side of doyelestown on 205 doyle st. this is an all ages event with a BYOB option for the alcoholics. this is a particularly special show for the advancement and continuation of music and art in this stifled little town. like all things good, the pale necked fuckers in charge want to shoot themselves in the foot and pull the plug on good honest homegrown expression, the very fruit that falls from the tree. the same fruit which draws people far a wide to this town on the hill. if he could see it now, Mr. Henry Mercer would certainly be ashamed for his children.
well anyway, if all goes well there will be more to come from this new space in D-Town.

we were in philly on saturday opening for teddy thompson . i think we had a good time(besides the fifteen dollar door charge that we didn't see a dime of). anyway, kind of a strange match but he and his touring band were some good blokes. here is a video by our friend Don 'D'Lang Langsdorf recording the event.

brad and i met i met with our friend kyle tonight to work on some arsty stuff and i thought i'd re-post this myspace blog....we are very pleased to have our friend Kyle Goldbach making our e.p. and full length record/poster art. kyle is a miner of sorts. digging into that wet pile of luggage in your grandfathers basement. dismantling, preserving, sanding, assembling, and then perhaps waxing those forgotten remnants into breathing monuments. i've been continually inspired by kyles work since the first time he showed me some prints of his from the trunk of his car. they all have this fantastic, oily, mysteria to them, which i can easily escape into. all things real....beautiful and dirty. m.

so you may or may not know that this month we released our e.p. "man Overboard" on our own label Mountebank Records. A mountebank is : a bench to mount or...

sounds about right..eh? the e.p. has on it six tunes parlaying gestures of isolation and hunger pumped into a cloud of rain and factory smoke, then boiled back down to an intimate concentrate. we recorded it at our our 'five tails studios' during a cold February week followed by a tape echo shower on most of the tracks.

Also..later in July if all goes well, we'll release the full length record "we belong to the sea". but more importantly we have some tracks here to give you. Hardwired from the e.p. and Busted Cars from the l.p.
